2 days ago, we got a phone call notifying us of a girl sleeping beside a hairdresser's shop in Ibadan. A good Samaritan brought her in.
She had run away from her home in Ilorin. Very well spoken and neat. She didn't have any phone number but she was able to describe her home in Ilorin.
Seun's dad was located, he had been searching for her for close to a month. Without hesitation, he left Ilorin immediately and was in our office in Ibadan within hours. Seun's mum is late and she claims her stepmother had been abusing her and her dad wasn't doing anything about it.
Both father and daughter are reunited and Seun very willingly went home with her super elated dad. He has promised to ensure that she gets his attention at home henceforth. We will also be checking up on her to ensure that everything is going on well with her.
Another child rescued from the streets.
My thanks to all the good Samaritans in Ibadan who brought this child to our attention, and to Bode and the entire Ibadan team. God bless you all.
