Today, while out with one of the children, Femi saw Damola during traffic and went back to locate him. He met him fighting with some Hausa boys in shoprite and asked him if he wished to return to us or not. He said no!!!

When asked why he ran away he said he only came back because Ridwan had been disturbing him to take him to the place where they take care of children. So that's why he brought Ridwan. He left when he had done that.

This is a sad reality we face constantly. Not all children are mentally prepared to leave the streets. While we ask you to continually remember children like Damola in your prayers. We also ask for your support in setting up what we call a "Midway House", a temporary shelter where children like Damola can come to sleep and receive counselling and gradually break the hold of the streets over them.
